Let's face it -looking for a DJ for a special event - especially those once-in-a-lifetime events like weddings, graduations, and proms - can be a daunting task. There is no shortage of companies and individuals out there calling themselves a DJ, with various endorsements and accolades- but it is next to impossible to know which company, would be the right fit for your special day until you actually talk to them. Professional sound, lighting, and presentation.
We love requests. We want to play the songs that you love for your event. Of course, we have done enough events that we can fill in with songs to round out your event as needed- but in this day and age- be leery of any DJ not willing to listen to your suggestions and play YOUR requests for YOUR event. We are going to take the time in our consultations to make sure we have the day planned exactly the way you have pictured it, and will gladly play the songs to create the soundtrack of your dreams for your big day.
Song versions you have heard
When we DJ a special event, we don't try to mix and scratch music to the point where people are paying more attention to the DJ than to the day's festivities. We aren't trying to play obscure remixes of songs that no one has heard, either. We strive to play the versions of songs that everyone has heard, so that your guests can sing along and/or recognize the songs as soon as they begin. After all- this isn't a nightclub, and we aren't trying to be club dis- we are trying to play the songs you want to hear at your event.
Wedding planning with a difference
We are not a full time wedding company. To be perfectly honest, we started doing weddings because so many people were meeting at our weekly karaoke and trivia shows that wanted us to be a part of their big day because we played such a big part in their forming as a couple. We are not in the business of just pushing through people through a corporate multi-rig wedding machine - these people getting married are regulars at our shows, and we consider them all to be our friends. We know that for each of our couples, this is most likely their only attempt at planning weddings. So we take the time needed to go over all the options, go over what is common at receptions, and basically act as a wedding planner, if needed- to make sure we put together a game plan for their big event that is exactly what they have always imagined. If we we can do that in one meeting or even over the phone with a few emails- that is fine with us. But even if it takes 2, 3, or 4 meetings and endless emails- we are fine with that, too. Whatever it takes to make your day perfect.

It doesn't matter if it is a weekly karaoke show, a corporate trivia event, a Photobooth birthday party, a prom, or a wedding reception - we are going to do whatever it takes to make sure we understand what you want done, and work to exceed your expectations. Excesss Photobooth provides large 4x6 prints, custom designed backgrounds, and fun props if deisred, all in an open-air, booth-less setting that allows for larger crowds and for all guests to see the fun. We can also provide a digital copy of all pictures, and post in real time to social media.

Uplighting is the use of colored lights placed in key places around a room to transform the space into something magical. Excesss Uplighting utilizes state of the art LED lights that are battery powered, eliminating cords, and are cool to the touch so are safer to operate. We can program the lights to match any colors, and also have a dance mode option that can fill entire halls with pulsating color.
